Forcing iPhone to connect to 5Ghz Wifi

Quick question.

I have time capsule which is configured to send 2.4 and 5Ghz signals with different wifi names.

If I connect my iPhone 5 to the 5GHz wifi , does that mean the iPhone always consumes the 5Ghz ?

If they have different names yes. Just delete the 2.4GHz one on the iPhone.
