First post on Mac Rumors. Be kind. I live in Japan but am an American. Apple uses the same commercials world wide. The iPod commercials work great. But the Mac commercials just don't seem to work here in Japan. No one really understands what the big deal of PowerPC to Intel is in Japan. Heck they barely know what a Mac is! Why doesn't Apple make commercials that work to the local culture and targets? Other companies do. (Dell is selling big time to young single females which is money target in Japan, just because they show the price of the computer and its ability to do music and play DVDS.) Then we have iTunes. I love iTunes but feel that every bit of video content is for Americans. Here in Japan. iTunes video content doesn't really exist. Japanese TV is very powerful and people watch more TV than anything. We watch on our phones, we watch on the train, we watch where ever we can find one. When is Apple going to negotiate with non-U.S. companies to supply TV content for local markets like Japan? How about Local music Videos? How about non-U.S. content?
