Foreversave 2 - Any good

Hi,

thinking of getting this app. Is it any good (last time someone asked was 7 years ago)? I am concerned that developer was promising a V3 some years ago, but that hasn't materialised, also the current version is about 2 years old.

thinking of getting this app. Is it any good (last time someone asked was 7 years ago)? I am concerned that developer was promising a V3 some years ago, but that hasn't materialised, also the current version is about 2 years old.

I have used it for a number of years and find it very useful. It has saved me much time resurrecting a previous version of a document when I accidentally deleted critical text and saved the file. It will autosave at preset intervals so I can ensure I have recent backups even if I do not save the document.

Saving files in a separate database is also very useful. I automatically backup that database to a separate disk so even if my HD crashes I have a copy of recent file modifications.

I am not sure of what I would want in a V3. I consider it a must have app for backing up work, along with Carbon Copy Cloner and Time machine.
