Yep. I would be much happier if my iphone 5 was thicker and heavier with much longer battery life.

This is one aspect of the iPhone 5 that absolutely irks me.

Mind you, my iPhone 5 battery life is very good. However, it would be much better had they added a couple of millimeters in thickness to accommodate a larger battery.

Most of the recent Samsung devices last about a day. But yes, OP, I agree with you. Id love to have another phone with as good battery life as my Note 2. It was FANTASTIC

Was wondering why Samsung did not include the same battery capacity in the S4, instead choosing to go for 2600mAH. Due to the weight, or thickness of the phone or something? O_O

can't see it on amazon but how about this one

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Extended-GT...rranty/dp/B00CXFMZPS/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Anker® 5200mAh Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S4 SIV S IV, GT-I9505, with NFC/Google Wallet + Midnight Blue Cover [18-Month Warranty]

I can't vouch for how good that company is. I know for sure that ZeroLemon is legit.

The ZeroLemon S3 battery is on Amazon UK so I'm sure the S4 one will be put up soon enough. You can buy it from eBay right now but you have to pay £8 to get shipped from the US and probably wait a while for shipping too.

My phone does not last a full day without charging because I use Waze whenever I drive. I typically charge it when I get to work and again overnight. On weekends, I use my car charger as I drive more and I generally don't stop anywhere in the middle of my drives where I can charge my phone. I would love to have a phone that would last 16 hours on all the time like my tablet.

Yeah, the obsession for thinness is getting out of hand. Many phones these days are so thin, they look like toys, not smartphones.

The ZeroLemon on my S4 is not thick at all. I don't see smartphones as fashion items, and idgaf that the latest "phones" are less than 6mm thick, because fwiw their battery lives are going to be dismal. Whatever I'm doing with them, I need them to last at least a day between charges, so I don't need to bring along a cable and charger at all times because the phone is so slim it won't last half a day of moderate usage.

Using gps uses a lot of battery. Every phone I've had including an iPhone it drains it pretty good.

depends on your phone

if it's an S4 just use a removeable battery. that works great for me.

That is my experience as well. I was pretty surprised the first time I used a mapping app on my Nokia N97. Got a car charger shortly afterwards.

I have an S3. I always found that charging the spare battery for modern phones to be rather inconvenient. Modern phones do not come with a separate charger. In order to charge a spare battery, I would have to swap batteries and then charge my phone. This seems rather incovenient to me. It is more convenient to just charge my phone in the middle of the day or use the car charge.

10-15 years ago, I always carry around spare batteries. My phones come with a separate dock charger that will charge your battery when you dock your phone into it. You can also dock a spare battery into it to charge it. When the battery dies, I would just swap batteries and then charge my depleted battery. Phones last days before needing a battery swap back then.

Probably thickness or something. the Note 2 battery is HUGE in size.

Samsung and Motorola seem to be the only two Android makers who give a crap about battery life. It needs to be one of the priorities. Right up there with performance.

With all the advancements in mobile technology over the years there's one area that has remained stagnant. Battery.

It hasn't remained stagnant at all, not even close. Battery technology has been increasing dramatically but those improvements have been offset by the equally dramatic increase in power consumption by much faster processors and high pixel density screens.

If you tried to power a current top of the line phone with battery technology from 2 or 3 years ago, you'd get a few hours.

This is why i'm going to be picking up a Droid Ultra Maxx or possibly the Razr Maxx Hd to be save money. I hate having to worry about making my battery last while i am not close to my charger. I also hate having that big bulky battery humpback.
