Hi Everyone,

I started off sometime ago installing Windows 7 Pro onto a separate internal HD (using Bootcamp installer) in my Mac Pro 3.1 and overtime upgraded to Windows 10.

I now want to reinstall Windows 10 onto a new Samsung 850 EVO but I'm not sure if I should format it and install the Samsung software before I start?

Also would I be better off installing Windows 7 first and then upgrading?

I don't think that Mac will support a clean install of Windows 10 so you might have to reinstall 7 Pro and then upgrade.
7 isn't going to offer to perform the upgrade since the free upgrade period has ended but Microsoft is still allowing free upgrades for accessibility users so once you've got 7 running you can go to Microsoft's website and look for that offer.
