So I wanted to format my macbook pro after having set it up wrong. So I found out how to do it. Here's what I did:

Inserted the Install disc 1 and chose the first option. I never got further than that.

Now the screen has frozen gray, I can't eject the disc and the disc drive is making no noise.

I've never done this before so is it normal or have I killed my baby?!

People on here seem to have the answer to everything so I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this one!

Try forcing a restart and start again. Your disc drive might have bits of dust in it.. worth cleaning with a DVD lens cleaner.
