Formatted old 100gb mac but only 80 available?

Hi!

I just got a new mbp and was formating my old one which was 100gb but after the install 10.5 theres only 80gb left! is that normal?! i dont remeber it being that small?😕

A 100GB hard drive is actually about 93GB due to base 2 vs base 10. And Leopard takes up ~11GB of space, so it sounds about right.
