Mac OS extended (journaled) or just plain Mac OS extended?
What does it all mean? Is there a size difference?

Journaled means that every action on the hard drive is indexed so the harddrive can access faster and it has a record of everything it's done. I don't think there is a size difference, and I would go with Journaled.
