Hey guys,

I'm thinking of selling my 12" powerbook to upgrade to either a 15/17" pb. If I do this I want to securely erase my HDD completely. I've tried searching about but thus far haven't found too much about it. How can I format the hdd securely i.e. having the whole thing rubbed out with zeros etc?

Duff-Man says...boot from your install cd....from the menu launch disk utility..choose the internal drive and then click on the erase tab....in that section there is a button labelled "security options..." - open that up and choose the amount of times you want the drive written over....oh yeah!
