"Formatting" (reinstalling) Mac OSX on a hard drive with a mac and windows partition?

Hi guys, I have a Macbook Pro, and I have Mountain lion on it and i have the bootcamp partition on it. Now I'm planning to format/reinstall my mac partition because it's giving me some troubles, so if i format and/or reinstall OSX on my mac partition will my windows partition data get deleted too? Or will it stay just like on any other computer if i was formatting a seperate partition?
