A lawyer for Apple and he doesn't have enough money already to just let his investments ride out the tough times? Look at Apple Stock now had it just left it alone...

LISTENNN! Lmaooo people’s greed is insane! You know how much money he probably has in cash and assets? And he still did this insider trading BS. Like, when is enough, enough?

When you know exactly how the system works, you know exactly how to sneak under it... this is why he got away with it for so long.

Often people only get caught when things change, like a new person comes in and checks the books in a different way or new regulations come about.

A periodic audit may have revealed a pattern. Lesson of the day... be random!

Sure it does. Especially as companies usually work with government investigators/prosecutors to make a case.

And if he is found not guilty or the charges are dropped, somebody is going to be facing a suit for wrongful termination. If this happens, the company will usually end up settling for a chunk of money to keep it quiet.

In a public position, they are usually barred from firing somebody merely because of charges. That's why police, teachers, etc. are put on paid leave until they are tried.

With that kind of inside information the idiot should have been able to make millions not 200k..
Well an idiot is what an idiot does... no matter what.

Apple, or another company, can fire an individual if the company's investigation reveals wrongdoing, or violation of company policies on the part of an employee. Makes no difference if a government prosecutor files charges or not.

There is no way to stop Insider Trading. Its so easy to share a piece of information with any one that will make the stock go up or down.

Its hard to believe that someone is smart enough to be a lawyer then be described as an "idiot" . I am not defending him... just hard to absorb.

He's just a lamb. There are hundreds of others at every company you can think of. All the major banks launder illegal money knowingly. Gangsters own Samsung. Bezos/Amazon is another perfect example. Sadly nothing worth billions is really legit.

Yes they can. But then the trial comes and says not guilty, the employee then says that no illegal acts were found in a gold-standard criminal court, that the Apple investigation was obviously flawed and unfair, and that they were trying to fire him to not pay his retirement or severance, thus it was in bad faith and unfair, and therefore wrongful termination.

Nice fabrication. But no. If an employee violates company policies they can be properly terminated. Violating a policy is not necessarily aligned with any crimes being charged.

Well.. the facts speak for themselves....
He is an idiot in more than one way.... as the facts suggest.

Very naive thinking when this guy has millions of dollars of salary, stock options, and severance at stake. A retail worker isn't going to have a high-priced lawyer sue big-pockets Apple on contingency. This guy is. They will use exactly the logic I explained.

Again, if he isn't found guilty I bet anything that he will get a payout from Apple to keep the whole thing quiet. Apple looks like it runs a clean ship, regardless of what drama or politics were behind this, and this guy, and his lawyers, gets millions.

Again, if he violated Apple policies, he can be fired. That’s likely in his employment agreement that he signed. Those policies do not have to be federal crimes.

Maybe you should contact Apples legal and HR departments and tell them about the mistake they made by terminating that guys employment.
