Forte 2017 Carplay messages issue

Hi everyone new proud owner of a Forte 2017 LX+ (In canada)

Loving the car exept a feature in Apple Carplay and I have no idea if the problem is the forte in general or my forte specificly

So my Iphone is a 6s on 10.2
Plug it with the Lightning cable and can access carplay NP.

The issue is that when i receive a text message (normal or Imessage) I have to wait about 5-10seconds before asking my car to read it.

If i click on the banner before the 5-10seconds it will say 'You have received a message from' Blank 'Would you like to replay?'

Also if i try to replay too fast (it happens randomly) it will say 'Here is your message it says, then reads the message' 'Would you like to send it?"

W/e i reply yes or click send on the screen it will sometimes repeat my message and not send it, I then have to click the red hang up button on the wheel and recreat the message

The problem is not your car. I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra that has the exact same issue. I’ve found numerous Hyundai/Kia owners online with same experience. They say that it was working fine with iOS 9 and started with iOS 10. I’m running the iOS 11 beta and it still doesn’t work.

Try this though, if you flip the phones mute switch to on it will read back messages each time.

I’ve submitted feedback to Apple about this and suggest you do as well so they will fix it.
