I am looking for a (freeware) fortran compiler for an intel mac. Does it exist, and where can I get it?

Do a "man gcc" at the UNIX prompt for information on how to compile Fortran programs.
Hence this thread :)
man gcc said:
Note that Apple's GCC includes a number of extensions to standard GCC (flagged below with ``APPLE ONLY''), and that not all generic GCC options are available or supported on Darwin / Mac OS X. In particular, Apple does not currently support the compilation of Fortran, Ada, or Java, although there are third parties who have made these work.

On an Intel Mac, you can use the Intel compilers which provide unlimited evaluation.

Or you can use g95, it can compile Fortran-95 code and works fine on my iMac G5 (there is also an x86 Mac version) though I'm not sure if it can also compile Fortran-77 as well, though I think it probably can.
