I really get miffed when people tell others to search the forums for help. To those that do this, dont.

You will search for help on Google and the first forum post that comes up will be for your exact question and the answer from your kind will be to use the search bar. When that happens dont expect my pity. This sort of response is unhelpful and creates needless threads.

Searching is in the rules.

Failing to search. If you have a question, it may already have been asked and answered in the forums. If you have an issue to discuss, there may already be a discussion about it. Set a good example by searching for existing threads before starting a new thread. When other people (especially new members) fail to search and start new threads on old topics, don't scold them or make them feel unwelcome. The best way to be helpful is by posting a link to a previous relevant thread.

If you ask a dumb, oft-repeated question ("Macbook Pro battery health????") you know you're going to get a series of links back to the umpteen other threads about the exact same thing.

Does that mean, that members like me, who point to MRoogle for better search results on this topic, especially since it has been posted several hundred times or even more, should stop that? What about the forum rules? (13.)

Your post does not make sense, but that may be due to me not having English as my native tongue.

If one uses Google to find an answer for ones problem, and finds it in one of the threads here, how come we (the ones pointing to MRoogle) into play?

I’m not clear what you’re actually saying. It REDUCES needless threads for someone to search. You may be irritated with those who just say to search; I think one should do that but also provide a link. This does two things: helps the member, but also teaches one to follow the forum rules and search.
