Hey, what are the other forums like phpBB? I am trying to find one that allows you to upload images to a thread.

what forums attach images? every one I have worked with allowed image attachement

I second punBB. After trying Vanilla, phpBB, Simple Machine Forums, etc. I ended up with punBB for my forums. It requires you to edit the php files if you're going to add personal message functionality and other features like that, but if you're capable of reading instructions this will be easy.

I love vB because of the OO capabilities, makes it much easier for troubleshooting and doing updates and modifications

Must admit I'm a recent convert from phpBB to vBulletin. In the end I got sick of waiting for phpBB to do some kind of big upgrade, and it's been years now.

vBulletin has great support, and is frequently updated.

But go check out the others... just wanted to wave the flag.

Vanilla is good.

minibb is good if you like mimaliasm.
