Is it possible to view the forums in desktop mode on iOS Safari/Chrome, instead of the (finger knackering endless flicking to scroll!) mobile view, on mobile devices?

Tapping the "Request Desktop Site" function on iPhone Safari in the MR forums does absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Highly annoying. Really cannot stand mobile view, as my fingers ache from endless scrolling to read through pages of comments in a font size that is too big, as I can read smaller font sizes, thus more comments on the screen at a time.

I suspect many with certain disabilities would also find this beneficial.

Anyone...?

At least explain if this cannot be done, so at least we'd know.

I'm seeing the same behavior. It appears to be a limitation of the Xenforo forum software and I don't have a solution for you.

There is no separate desktop view to switch to. Our forums use a responsive design that automatically adjusts to your screen size.

The OP can choose to navigate MacRumors using TapaTalk (which I believe is a free download from the iTunes App Store.) The forums display well on my 10.5" iPad Pro.
TapaTalk doesn't solve the issue AFAICT. Looks like we're stuffed then, hrrmpf!
