iPod Forward/Back on the new Nano?

Saw on the keynote that the fwd/back was also on the volume rocker...just wondering how exactly that worked?

Also do you think that would be hard changing songs when running?

Forward: Click + Hold
Backward: Double-click + Hold
Next Song: Double Click
Previous Song: Triple Click

Seems a little painful to skip through multiple songs...prob just stick with my 4th or 5th gen with the click wheel for running
