Forwarding yahoo mail

I am trying to forward my yahoo mail account to the stock mail application on my new macbook. I was pretty sure that it's a POP account, but I can't seem to get it to work so save my life. Any suggestions?

Don't you need to have the premium Yahoo! Mail Plus in order to get POP access?

Yes I beleive you do. I tried that once w my last pc.

That was what I found. Pay money for POP with Yahoo.
