Yes, I'm bumping an old thread, but I figured it'd be okay since this game is so awesome. I just started a new game the other day and I'm about 24% or so now. Just downloaded the March car pack, which is awesome. This is IMO, the best racing game ever.

Here are a couple pics I took last night:

As you can see, I am a European car fanatic. (and I own a Hyundai in real life, oddly enough. I want a VW VR6!!)

I usually keep my cars pretty close to stock on Forza. I think it's more fun that way. I usually do all the suspension mods and the Stage 1 weight reduction and maybe an exhaust and intake.

Sometimes, I'll go a bit crazy and do a powertrain swap. I have a Lexus IS350 with the Twin Turbo engine from a Supra, which is a beast.

Anyone else still playing?

I dip into it every now and then.

However, I brought a PS3 recently and it came with GT5 so I've been playing that quite a bit. Having had the opportunity to play both, I think Forza is better. Admittedly, this is only GT5 Prologue and not the full game, but apart from them adding a ton more cars and possibly a damage model, I can't imagine what major changes they may implement to make it better.

The cars handle so much more realistically in Forza IMO. Anyone else share this view?

i still never got this game. maybe i will when it gets cheaper

Cheaper?? I was looking on amazon and you can get it and the Marvel game for $10 plus shipping, so probably $14. This is the disc combo that has been packaged with recent 360, but they are still the full games just without the full game packaging. I may pick this up to try both games.

The cars seem A LOT more realistic in Forza. It seems like 90% of the cars in the GT series understeer way too much. Plus, the cars don't sound realistic, there's no damage, etc. I have all kinds of things I don't like about the GT series. I was a huge fan of GT until I first played Forza. Now, I can't stand playing GT. Forza is MUCH better. This is just an opinion, of course.

Here are a couple more of my cars:

A friend got me into this game recently, and I'm hooked.

I'm trying to play through Career mode from start to finish on max difficulty, and am half-way through the Regional Championships now. Yikes! I was originally trying to play through with an average, unmodified car, but as you go on it becomes impossible to win doing so.

I used to get race-times ranked in the top 30,000 or so, but when you get further into the game and your choice of car is limited for a given series, now I'm in the top 5,000s.

I've never played online, but I'd agree that it's a pity you can't set a global setting for the driver aids. If people are competing head to head (even just via time trials) everyone should be on the same settings.

Now, to figure out how the hell to beat those TVRs in the British A Car championship. Grrrr...

I am in an online racing league and let me tell you that the online is so much fun if you're playing with the right people. If you go into a random room, though, you'll get the people who think it's demolition derby.
I beat the Regional Specs with no assists and I personally think that it's the hardest one to beat, with the TVRs being the hardest event. The car has so much power and it's so easy to spin, especially with no assists. Factory spec is pretty hard too because you can't upgrade your car.

Picked this game up a wee bit ago. I've got a '69 Fairlady Z I'm working on right now. If anyone wants to race, my gamertag is: kanphati
