F pay to play. I refuse to indulge in any game that uses pay to play. Charge one price and be done with it.

This looks like a good game... Shame i never play games anyone on iOS much, let alone use it for anyting useful, but just shows you don't really need an xbox console either.. :)

Installed, played, earned bonus, quit, deleted.

It’s like the first racing game released on iOS in 2007. Graphics and storyline are terrible. Basically an attempt at a cash cow. Don’t bother wasting 2 GB of storage on this trash. Can’t believe any developer would waste time of this garbage.

They had me until free to play. Not worth the effort of downloading.

It's a shame that the economics of the App Store means all we get, for the most part, are trash IAP-ridden freemium games with very little substance when the hardware in iOS devices is oftentimes console-quality and can do so, so much more.

Back on my iPhone 4, I loved gaming, there were so many amazing games in the $3-$5 range.

I haven't seen a decent iPhone game for years. The final nail in the coffin was that Oz pile of crap the featured at a keynote. Apple destroyed mobile gaming. it's disgusting given what a modern iPhone or iPad is capable of.

Why not port an actual Forza game to iPhone? Or make one with actual steering, controller support, etc?

I thought that's what it was for about 10 fantastic seconds before I finished reading the post.

A single “button” to brake and accelerate? It’s a simplified, glorified garage band game without the music and without the interaction. Beyond terrible.

That’s like saying the only redeeming quality of my car is that I can collect VISA points when I tank up.

Sorry. I quoted the wrong post.

Forza titles weigh in from 60 to 100GB. They would have to butcher the game to point of being unrecognizable to make it work on an iPhone. iPad might work, but even there it would be sub-optimal imo, but at least the screen would be large enough. I'd be worried about the game turning the iPad into a very expensive hot plate. The only way I could see an actual Forza title making it to mobile is through a Stadia-type-stream-from-servers situation.

We don’t need anymore of these stupid idiot games with no controls but just pressing “jump” or “gas pedal” button.

Give us real games, real gameplay, real controls. And more mature looking games and not these juvenile candy colored crap.

Most of that GB is for language files/localization and 4K textures. You can cut that by making it US only and the textures can be 1080p or even 720p, nobody will notice on a 5" screen.

If they can port Fortnite and make it 120hz on iPad Pro they can definitely do a simple racing game

Can I assume you are not really familiar with Forza? I ask because your description of a simple racing game isn't apt, and comparing it to a light weight title like Fortnite is odd. For MS to strip enough out of Forza to make it playable on an iPhone you'd be left with unrecognizable poop like, well like Forza Street. It's a moot point anyway. MS doesn't really seem to care about mobile beyond getting some possible IAP from the gullible who see "Forza" in the game title and think Forza.

Go try Grid Autosport. It’s a full game, it looks and plays great. So it definitely is possible.

Grid looks and plays like an XBox 360 era game. Not my cup of tea, but if it's yours I'm not going to knock it. A stripped down FM3 or FM4 might work on mobile, but would it be worth it to MS? Probably not, which is why they reskinned Miami Street as Forza Street and called it a day. I still contend a modern Forza game would have to be stripped of it's essence to work on mobile. You seem to disagree. That's cool.

The last Forza game I played was 2 on the 360, so yeah

Also, racing games are indeed simple compared to a typical FPS or open-world RPG. There's way less things to render. It's just car models going through a track with weather/lighting/damage affecting them. Why else was Gran Turismo on the PS2 able to hit 1080i? lol
