I noticed a dent on the lid of my MBP 15" just before I bought a Speck hard case, which I returned because one of the clips wouldn't latch on and I wasn't satisfied with the quality of the mold. It is located right above the right above the right side of the apple beside the "leaf".

Now that the first blemish has been found, I can rest a little easier about keeping my MBP in pristine condition. I want to take this chance to explore some skins. I've read reviews of some that the edges pull up over time, and that doesn't sound too good. What's the general consensus on the best skins? Looking for more clear/matte ones, but companies that make good designs are good, too.

As for fixing the dent, I've searched and didn't find anything about removing it. Is there really anything I can do about it?

I don't think you can fix that dent, at least not easily.

Check out wrapsol for matte-finish clear skins, and icarbons for great vinyl products. I really like the icarbons brushed aluminum skins.
