Found a very reliable (Apple approved) battery case

I am frustrated Apple doesn't make an oem battery case for plus models. After several hours of searching, I found what seems to be the best option. Morphie is the go to brand, but it's extremely expensive for very low capacity. The one I found works with wireless charging. It does require micro USB cable charging, but to me it's fine because I have several old charging bricks.

For $50, I'm pleased. I don't use it daily, but it's great security to have at work. Make no mistake, the apple battery case is still the best option. If you own a plus or an X, it's not an option. I trust that I read from this company.

My battery life on my 8 Plus is amazing...I never have an issue needing to charge it before bed. I can’t believe you need a battery case for it...must be a super heavy user, which is totally cool!

I'm actually a light user. I am trying to keep the battery in great shape for as long as possible, so I try to keep it between 40-80%. On a normal day, I use 30-40%, so it works for me. When I have a longer day at work (12+ hours) I had to use my wall charger. I don't trust people not to steal my phone, so this way I can keep it on me and charge at the same time.

For a power user this would be a godsend.


I know it seems odd to spend $50 on a case in order to keep the battery healthy when a new battery is $80, but here we are.

I would suspect they don't make one due to being mercilessly mocked for the last ones they put out (hunchback model). But it's probably more due to the fact that the plus already has top tier battery life for most and only the hungriest power users might need one. Just a guess on both counts.

I personally LOVE the look and feel of the apple battery case on the smaller phones.

As for the plus battery life. It's amazing in small doses, but for people who play a ton of games(not me) or take a lot of pics and video, I have seen the plus phones to die relatively quickly. The average plus user probably doesn't need a battery case, but with how many million phones are out there, I'm sure the demand would also be there.

In that case, sorry, no offense. Haha. I've never used a battery case and rarely use a case at all for that matter. So I obviously don't have a strong feeling either way on battery cases.

I am so glad I do not worry about things like this. I have a friend who obsesses over not charging his iPhone over 80% and will not let it drop past 50%. I do not have time for crap like that and I have seen him end phone calls early because it is ruining his charging plan.

That's a bit extreme. I am not nearly that bad, but it is still important to me to do what I can. Not even for the price, because a new battery for $80 is chump change. I honestly don't know why I do it, because I've never kept a phone longer than 2 years lol.

I've been with my wife going on 13 years now, and our oldest kid is nearly 10. She uses my wife's old S7, so no slobbering on my phone. :] I appreciate the condescending replies, though. Nice dose of reality from someone I assume is in their 50s or 60s lol.

None of this gets under my skin. It's the forum mentality where some people think they know everything and aren't shy about letting everyone know. Nothing on here upset me, it's the internet. Just always find it funny when people are condescending online.
