Contemplating getting two matrox dualhead2go DP adapters and running two cinema displays per thunderbolt\dp port...

Not sure how it'd look or what kind of resolution I'd get with it. Any thoughts? I know macpro's can support up to 6 displays...Wait and upgrade?

If the Cinema Displays are 30", then they won't run at their native resolutions. 2560x1600 @60Hz requires 8.75Gb/s of bandwidth whereas TB provides 10Gb/s.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can stick up to four GT 120's in the correct mac pro, and they support 2 displays each. Wouldn't this make a theoretical eight displays possible on said MP's?

You want Apple to provide DisplayPort 1.2 ports instead of merged Thunderbolt ports.
