I know that the forums are designed censor four-letter words by substituting asterisks for letters in the "naughty" words.

However, when viewing posts in the "Top Rates Comments" mode, four-letter words apparently are shown in the clear. Here's an example from a story on today's front page (see the comment at the bottom of the picture). When I view the comment in the regular mode, the words in that post are properly censored.

This is most likely a bug that the website coders will want to squash.

Not sure how to submit it, other than posting it here.

For some reason I thought this post was in a different forum. This is the perfect place to post this. My bad!

There are two sides to MacRumors, the XF side where the profanity filter is active and the WordPress side where the news articles and Top Comments are posted, but don't get filtered.

We've seen a report about this article and have alerted the Editor's to deal with the WordPress side.

    Thanks.

This should be fixed now...let us know if anybody sees it happening anywhere else.

I just checked it against a censored word in another thread, and it does indeed seem to be fixed. Thanks, Team MR!
