Samsung is the only manufacturer that actually sells a consumer MicroLED product right now. So, it makes sense that Samsung will dominate MicroLED mobile displays. They're pretty much the goto OEM for all display tech and storage tech.

1) They don't make a consumer MicroLED product, unless you consider the special order only, 146 inch "Wall" a "consumer" product.
2) They have struggled to put the "micro" in MicroLED. The smallest 4K display they have shown is 75", which does not bode well for seeing a 7" MicroLED phone display in the next ten years.
3) Samsung is not going to dominate MicroLED. A number of other companies, including LG and Sony, have advanced MicroLED development programs but have wisely kept quiet about the immature technology so that they can SWAT (Sell What's Available Today), i.e.- OLEDs. Samsung doesn't have to worry about that, since they don't offer an OLED product.

I bet we see this first in Apple's foldable phone. It'll provide a distinct advantage both in creating manufacturing of the device easier, and also to justify the premium price the product will hold at release.

Foxconn isn't just an assembler. Foxconn is a contract manufacturer. They have mutiple subsidiaries involved in display tech.

As I said, I don't doubt Samsung will be a big player in mLED. They just won't be what they are in OLED. For a lot of OLED's history, Samsung essentially had no competition and it allowed them to dominate. That isn't true for mLED. Lots of players are vying for a seat at the mLED table... Apple being one of them.
Well it surely doesn't look like that isn't true for microled.
I remember how at one point Apple supposedly was vying for a seat at the OLED table.
