What is happening now is if a family or people came from Wuhan/Hubei and went to another city or province they are getting their doors locked to prevent them from leaving their houses

Cant say I've seen such drastic actions first hand, equally restrictions are definitely ramping up. I think a lot is related to the return of countless millions from CNY celebrations with the authorities wanting to see the bigger picture at the end of February.

Certainly becoming more concerning as the reality is, if the virus spreads without control it will be impossible for hospitals to deal with the vast numbers of cases. From what I know 2019-nCoV lethality is less than SARS, however the communicability of the virus is significantly more aggressive.

One hopes similar to SARS as we get into Summer the virus will die out naturally, as it may not be tolerant to higher temperatures.

They are applying but after applying they still have to wait 2 weeks for non-locals to be able to work after being quarantined. He did not mention that part..

“We have been closely monitoring the current public health challenge linked to the coronavirus and we are applying all recommended health and hygiene practices to all aspects of our operations in the affected markets. These health and safety measures are conducted in tandem with the efforts implemented by the government,” the spokesperson said.

I don't dispute, equally sceptical of manipulation of such footage (regardless of country or origin). Quarantine is without any doubts a fact here now, especially in the epicentre (Wuhan). Shenzhen I have seen first hand areas closed to all but residents which to some extents makes sense as the majority of the shopping areas remain closed.

As said the next 2-4 weeks be critical as many across China look to return to work and companies will need to meet increased safety measures respective to 2019-nCoV.

Tomorrow we shall see. My guess is that there will be a delay in manufacturing and production. This can be used as an excuse to delay manufacturing because the government has a point to certain degree about the spread of this virus so at the same time this could be used as payback for what was done to Huawei. If Apple suffered the same losses as Huawei the tables may turn or used as a form of payback. Speculation that is. On the other hand the good news is China is doing its best and not being stingy about it. Free healthcare for all. There is an Influenza epidemic in the US and there was no free healthcare treatment for it from the American Government. About 10,000 people died from it last year too. US Futures will show in about 30-60 minutes from now where this is headed. My bet/prediction is South although I could be wrong.

Fully expect delays, although believe is more related to companies needing to meet far more stringent heath & safety regulations and the limited number of assessors. Damage to the Chinese economy by far outweighs any grudge over Huawei and the Chinese are noted for playing a long game, so they may be “ticked off”, equally not to the point of making a rash move.

TBH right now the Chinese authorities have bigger issues, containing 2019-nCoV and undoubtedly a negative impact to all, internally & externally. Personally I don't expect work until the summer as by nature international travel is mandatory, predominately across APAC, restrictions are already in place...

One was approved but did not say when it was approved to start on. Could be Monday and could be after 2 weeks.

Anyone know where MBPs are made? I have a BTO order in, and if I knew where the factory was I could at least keep track of how bad coronavirus was there as I wait for it to become safe for them to resume production.

I wanna say feel free to short :p Most people are not going any where in China to work today. Got a week off at least if not longer:oops: We have a major disruption in manufacturing Chains in China now. This is pretty much confirmed now. Most people are still confined to their homes. The only ones that can go to work are factories that make necessary coronavirus needed stuff like face masks and sterilizers. Anything people and hospitals need. Rest is pretty much a no no
