What I have done in the past on things like this is go delete the tweet and then revoke the access from the place. That be amazon, drop box or others. I gang the pluses and none of the draw backs.

As for letting Amazon have access to my Twitter account--well considering Amazon has more information on me than Twitter will ever have, I don't see that as a problem. And you can always revoke access if you want.
