what do u mean u have a free account? did u get it through that college thing? or do u just have the sdk from the developer download page?

If it's a legitimate free account you should be able to do whatever other devs do. I doubt it's legitimate tho.

All accounts are free, what could be illegitimate about it ? 😕

You can read the docs and tutorials, download the SDKs. That's what the free account gives you. To have access to the App Store, you need to be in the Enrolled program.

The Mac/iPhone dev accounts are always free. To get the rights to publish iPhone apps to iTunes, you need to join the iPhone Dev Program and that's $99.

Some large corporations have free accounts and do publish their apps to the store.

I was guessing the OP got it from a parent.😉
