Hey guys, not trying to self promote... more just wanted to share. Whenever I've been out for a while I try to keep an eye on my phone's battery level. So I built this!

Released it for free, but there's an optional feature to get notifications at various battery levels that I enabled via an in-app purchase.

Check it out if you want :)
Will remain free

No problem guys! If you like the app, please leave a good rating/review. :)

Thanks!

Do you need to keep the app open/running in the background for notification to work?

It's not actually running in the background. The OS puts the app to sleep like all others. However, there's a feature in iOS that blocks notifications like this when the app is force quit.

So, if you force quit the app, it blocks the notifications. But if you don't it performs like any other app.

I would love to see a phone battery monitor glance like this that mimics the default apple watch glance, so it looks visually consistent. Maybe a different color for the phone battery or something to be able to quickly tell them apart, but still the same visual style.

The Glance battery data does not refresh after the night sleep :) it shows last update at 01:32 and trying to update - but cannot. If I open the app itself - it is updated and shows the right percentage

Sounds like maybe the glance is "stuck". Remove it and add it again using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone?

Sure. I did many times :) After removing/installation the first moment it works, and after the watch went to sleep - it stop.

Did you try removing the app entirely from your phone and watch, and reinstalling it?

Nice, straightforward app, I like it. Now I can be even lazier and not pull my phone out to check my battery :)
"Lazier?!?!" Someone needs to write an activity app that will generate growing rings and a haptic notification/reminder to pull your iPhone out of your pocket! ;)

I'll be releasing FondleMiPhone on the AppStore tonight. For free of course, otherwise it'll end up like the rest of my apps and people will be too "lazy" to download it :D
