Ordered yesterday, just got an e-mail shipping confirmation![]()
I don't mean to unnecessarily scare anyone by posting this additional information. I just want everyone to be aware that this is a potential scam and there are a few red flags out there. The preponderance of website domains that this person is linked to, others related directly to device cases, and the firefox warning in his "hidden" PayPal domain are reason for concern.
I went ahead and opened a dispute in PayPal, citing Dominick Oliver's potential connection with past scam sites and malware sites. At worst case, I am wrong and it works out fine. At best, I'm getting the news out early and helping others who were scammed or would be scammed.
i shall go ahead and remove my bank card details from my account.Well they still have your email and address, so I wouldn't feel so safe. The receipts may also show partial CC or bank account numbers.
I used PayPal and I still don't like the idea, since they have my address and email.
However, if I were you, here is what I would do.
In the meantime, watch your bank account daily and look for any unapproved charges. If something shows up, immediately call your bank to dispute the charge and let them know that someone may have unauthorized access to your account.
If this gets confirmed as a scam, then you will want to notify your bank and get all of your account numbers, credit/debit cards, passwords, etc. replaced.
