Please do correct me if I'm wrong, jessica, but aren't you based in the US? These codes are for the UK store only as far as I know, which may be why they don't work for you.

Your probably right, because whenever i got an email and replied back to say i took it while i was putting it into iTunes it had already been taken.

I was myself amazed how quick it went
 
Isn't there a way to make it members only?
