The T&C's say the following, so I think the answer is clear!

"Prize draws for iTunes songs will take place every minute between 00:00 on 28th May 2007 and 23:59 on 26th July 2007 (inc). There will be a total of 86,400 draws for iTunes songs."

"Prize draws for iPods will take place every hour between 00:00 on 28th May 2007 and 23:59 on 26th July 2007 (inc). There will be a total of 1,440 draws for 80gb iPods."

Labels from 500ml bottles give two entries, as do cards from 24 can packs (could be wrong about the latter one). This has been mentioned already and is in the Ts&Cs. Am saving my labels for a big push next week - so far have about 30 500ml labels ready to be unleashed!

We'll need to organize that we don't do it at the same time on the same day, because I'm entering all 40 of my labels next week. :p (I'll probably do mine next Sunday morning between 4-5am)

And yes, I did know that 500ml bottles gave you two entries, but I thought that if you entered the code during a single minute, you have two entries to win the one iTunes song being given away in *that* particular minute. Unless they're entering both entries into two different minutes.

I'll be doing it on a weekday. And there are 15 songs a minute and 1 iPod an hour.
 
Ruddy nora! I thought me saving up 6 codes was an achievement :eek:

I think I broke my last code. Entered the code, clicked my "get free song" button and bam! It added 3 in one go. Even though it only said I got 1 song. Was awfully nice of them :D

ps. Dunno if you guys know this or not, but 500ml bottles at the Co-op are 80p. Just 1p more than your guaranteed song :D
 
They have had 2 500ml bottles for 1.40 in Tescos and Sainsburys for the duration of the promotion. The way I see it I actually make money when I drink coke these days!

I hope to have 50 codes when I come to start entering them next week. Should make for good odds. I shall ofcourse keep you all informed.
 
Just decided to register a new email address in case the limit the iPods to one per email. Entered one code to check my spam filters wouldn't block it. Won one song from two entries, and then won an iPod.

Best decision to buy a Subway ever!!

so are you guys bassicaly saying that about 3-5am is around the best time to enter the codes and around how many should i enter

For winning songs the middle of the night is undeniably the best time. However, the majority of iPods have been won with relatively few codes submitted and in the day.

They are your codes and you are more than welcome to submit them when you feel like it. You can even take advantage of the experiences of people here to improve your chances of winning. However, I am only repeating what has already been said so please have the courtesy to read through all that before making one of your first posts to ask for it to be repeated.

Rude? Possibly, but it's twenty past two and it looks like it's going to be a busy night!
 
Just as an update for you guys - even though we are coming to the end of the promotion - I submitted 75% of my codes (as many as I could) this morning between 7am and 8am. I won a bunch of songs but no iPod.

Unless someone's won an iPod at 4am I'm beginning to feel your best bet is during the day.

Another tip: I have a lot of 500ml labels (which give you two entries) and I was winning 2 songs on each code until I'd input around 5 or 6 labels then any further labels would give just one song. So I input a 2 litre bottle code, which seems like it 'defaulted' back to normal and I began getting 2 wins on any further 500ml labels. This happened a couple of times, and putting the 2liter code seemed to fix it. May have been a coincidence, but it might be a sneaky filter coca-cola implemented.

I'll enter my remaining codes tomorrow morning probably, just to see what'll happen.
