I noticed I had 40gb of "documents" that I couldn't find, I located the files in my profile library, they were whatspp iCloud backup logs, I deleted these files, all is well until I checked my disk space, its now saying my free is disk space is larger than the physical size of my drive, see screen grab, any thoughts on how to sort this?
[doublepost=1491616400][/doublepost]I think I answered my own question, macOS had marked those files as purgable, however when I manually deleted them, the system still thinks they are there, how Can I reset this? will the OS sort it eventually next time it indexes?

Likely... yes. Run the command below in Terminal to reindex Spotlight and see if that fixes it. Also make sure you emptied the trash.

Code:
sudo mdutil -E /
thank you, it reindexed after about an hours, but thats a handy command to have, so cheers. Just wish you could run it on iCloud as there is 40gb in there that doesn't tie up with what I have...
