What is the safest free file sharing/downloading program to use on the Macbook?
Dropbox, Copy.com, Mediafire?
iTunes for music and movies, Amazon for books, Steam for games.
I don't know what exactly do you mean. I used Jumpshare, CloudApp, Mediafire, Droplr, Dropbox, Huddle and I like all of them (specially Jumpshare and Droplr). Anyway, those are to UPLOAD things and share them if you want.
Or be like the pro, and get yourself a Linux VPS at DigitalOcean
Dropbox is the best but free accounts only get 2GB as standard. I pay for 100GB and can't fault it.
I use Dropbox for my some stuff which I want access to across multiple machines, and the Apache web server which comes with the O/S to share stuff with others.
If you don't need more the 2Gb, Dropbox is what I find easiest. Apps for most devices, plus every time you refer someone you get an extra 500Mb, this can go up to 16Gb.
