I have volunteered to manage the UK list again for this year following my previous efforts (see links in my sig.)

I aim to update this post once a week on Tuesday.

Once again Apple are offering 12 Days Of Gifts App where From 26 December – 6 January, you can download a gift each day—songs, apps, books, films and more—with the 12 Days of Gifts app. Each day’s gift will only be available for 24 hours, so download the free app to make sure you don’t miss out.

Sadly Apple have chosen to make this year's app compatible with iOS 7 and above. My 4th Gen iPod Touch is not compatible, I'll try to maintain the listing but it's become more complicated than in previous years.

It's been a while since I visited this list.
Lots has changed in iTunes stores over the years.
Thought I would leave a note on what's free where as of now on the iTMS's around the world...

Song of the Week countries...new tracks each Tuesday (or so)...
  • Australia (and New Zealand) - SOTW
  • Brazil - SOTW
  • Canada - 2 SOTWs (1 French; 1 English)
  • France - SOTW
  • Germany (and Austria and Switzerland) - SOTW
  • India - SOTW
  • Italy - SOTW
  • Mexico - SOTW
  • Netherlands - SOTW
  • Russia - SOTW
  • Spain - SOTW
  • Sweden (and Norway and Finland) - SOTW
  • UK (and Ireland) - SOTW
  • US - SOTW

Most weeks it's a different song in each listed country...up to 14 different tracks. But sometimes record labels make deals to spread the same single across many of the countries at once.

Other countries sometimes have a free song - such as Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Poland, etc. - but not organized as a song of the week regular feature (although it is sometimes called the song of the week).

I have same observation as yours (except I see Turkey, Denmark and never see Poland).
There is a total of 26 storefronts with free songs.
Out of these 26 storefronts, 21 have been observed with one or more weekly free song(s) constantly.

I've been doing these observations for my app Free Song Notifier (not associated with MacRumors). It currently supports the 21 storefronts with constant weekly free songs, other storefronts will be add to the app once proven to have weekly free songs constantly.

I also read online:
  • Japan used to have free songs constantly, but now they are gone.
  • Taiwan, Hong Kong used to have when music store launches, then gone, and seems to be coming back again with Singapore at Week 31

Seems so, my script wasn't able to spot one for any of the countries.
May be the 12 days free app offered one, so they don't offer another free song of the week.

Not that you necessarily WANT to download it, but "Flatline" by Justin Bieber is free just in the US. (It's not free in Canada, UK or Australia right now, others are assumed) It is not listed on the "Free On iTunes" page

12 Days Of Gifts 2013-2014 by Country

Is there any way someone with iOS7 could post the 12 Days gifts for each Country?

I know today (Day 5) has Hugo is US & Canada & Home Alone is the UK, but what about the other countries? I have been trying to find a list for Australia & South Africa & it does not seem there is 1 available.
If I had iOS7 I would change the store in the app & post all of them (Or at least all the English Speaking ones) but unfortunately it's a very complex app that requires a more advanced processor than I have to be able to display a picture every day.
