Does anyone know if Apple will offer a free update to Leopard for people who have purchased there Mac’s near to the release date? Have they done anything like this in the past? And if they do when would be the likely cut off point for the free copy of Leopard?

From the past, only people who buy a new mac between the official release date announcement and the actual release get some kind of discount.

I'm not sure if the discount makes it a free upgrade, or a cheap upgrade.

Does anyone know when Apple will announce the release of Leopard? Ok so that was a bit of a silly question, when do people expect apple to announce Leopard? I was thinking by the end of the month but now I’m not to sure and think Leopard will arrive in November not October
