Does anybody have a link or a name for a free movie whether avi/mov/mpeg etc to swf converter?

I have done a search and the ones I am finding are not free and will only do a sample with there logo embedded.

At this point if it is windows based that if fine.

    Thanks

ffmpeg and its derivatives are certainly a free options across platforms...

Here is a link to the walkthrough of how to do it with ffmpegx, a graphical front end for ffmpeg on Macs:

No problem. :) Before the era where everyone was using iSquint and VisualHub, ffmpeg was pretty popular with OS X users. Then I guess because of the combination of simpler usage with those apps and the fact that OS X users tend to pay for nice interfaces in apps that do a few things well, over very complex, powerful, but non-intuitive apps, ffmpeg kind of went into decline. But it's quite powerful.

I dunno if the front-ends on Windows or Linux are any easier to use than ffmpegx is.
