Free phone calls

hey guys i dont know if this is possible yet but I'd like to be able to use my macbook to receive and make phone calls..for free.. is there any apps that allows you to do so? I heard skype allows you to call for free?

Skype to Skype is free. Skype to landline/cell costs money.

Sure, it's possible. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak did it in the 70's.

It's not legal, though.
