I am looking for a free pretty good download of a photo editing software. I tried Gimp but I coudlnt figure out how to download it... oh well. ANyways if you know any that wopuld be very helpful! Thank You!
Also depending on what you want to do with photos, look at the photo editor in iPhoto. It's very usable for "photo editing" -- not so much for the wackier sorts of things you do in Photoshop, but very good for photo editing. I personally use Photoshop Elements -- it's not free, but it is cheap. And it's outstanding.
For just resizing try PhotoToolCM then all you have to do is right click on the photo, scroll on down to Photo Tool, scroll to Batch Resize (it can do one at a time too) and a box pops up and ask what size you want it and it does it all and pretty quick too.
As the original poster mentioned they could not figure out how to download and install it, we can certainly also help with that, instead, if you decide to go that way. Although, if Seashore can do everything you want, it's probably a perfectly good piece of software to stick with. GIMP is *very* powerful. But the X11 can be a nuisance, and it can be overwhelming.

Oops!..I gleaned over the original post and missed that. Sorry.
I agree, the GIMP is powerful...and yes, X11 (which i think was on the Tiger install disk) did complicate things. Actually, come to think of it, I did fiddle around trying to get it installed on my unit.
PhotonickD is a fairly unknown but pretty good free photo-editing software.
The Classic version was great; the OS X version is still under development and still has some way to go. I wholly recommend it.
The developer doesn't appreciate feedback and his updates are few and far between ... can't blame him; after all, he is giving away a potential Photoshop Lite for free.
