free photo editing

    need something like photoshop, just basic, even something like ms paint but for :apple:.. tried gimp but the client didn't work.. any advice would be appreciated

    Google's Picasa and Rhapsoft's LiveQuartz work pretty good... and iPhoto obviously...

    Are you on a Mac? iPhoto came with it. Are you asking for photoshop for free? If so, that's against the rules.

    Not free but cheap is Pixelmator. Free and decent is Picasa.

    The GIMP needs the X11 layer to run on OS X. See the Requirements section at http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ for a link to XQuartz

    Also, as others have said, iPhoto is good depending on how much functionality you need

    Lately I've started using Acorn. It's a normally a pay-for image editor, but there's a free version that has a few limitations (I don't do heavy image editing, so I don't even notice them). I've done a lot of searching, and it's the best I've found for free image editors.

    This web app for image edditing is amazing. A lot like photoshop and pixelmator. Sumopaint FREE!
