Free refurb iPhone 3G someday?

This is pure speculation. Considering that at&t sold refurb iPhone v1 for $200 off for a while, I can see them giving refurb 8GB iPhone 3G away for free after subsidies with a 2-year contract.

The Gen 1 iphone will be sold as refurbished and so will the Gen 2 3G when the next generation comes out.
