Free up space

How do I free up space in my mini ipad and from there pick only certain app/data to sync?

In iTunes pick what apps you want on the iPad or on the iPad start deleting them - that's really the only way AFAIK

You can do it from the iPad, too. Settings >> General >> Storage & iCloud Usage >> Manage Storage. You can delete apps from there.

I just finished doing that on a friend's iPhone - he had 0 space left, but had one app taking up over 7GB!
