Evening.

I have the following file:

Picture1-4.png

I need to get the file under 10 mins and 100mb so I can Youtube it.

Is there a free piece of software that I can both cut out a few seconds and then convert to a more manageable size? What format should I convert to?

Thanks. :)

So what he said up top. MPEG Streamclip is fantastic! I use it all the time. A little hint is that you can set your in and out points if you need to do a last minute edit.
And another very useful program is called TubeTV. It can download any videos on the web (some times it has trouble with FLVs but usually it works for everything.) And that's on the Apple website (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/tubetv.html)
Well I hope any of this helps. Oh, and one more thing about TubeTV. It can also convert your videos on your computer. It doesn't have any control over format and such.
adiós! :apple:

iSquint is a good one as well, or you could throw it into iMovie and cut the last few or so seconds out. Same with final cut, if you have it. But for youtube, I thought, the movie had to be under 1GB, not 100MB. I've got two video's up that are 900MB+, and one's 10:08 minutes.
