anyone have any suggestions?
i tried mroogle but couldnt find anything
What do you mean by internal audio?
the audio that is played in your computer prior to going to speakers
right now, the only recording solution i can find has to use a mic as the source
imagine not having speakers hooked up to your computer but still recording audio that would be playing on your computer
Ok stupid question, why would you want to record the internal sounds?
For example, to digitally capture audio from a streaming radio station playing in iTunes so you can save it for later.
EDIT: That's what I would use such software for.
Ok. Audacity can do it and they have a build for Mac OS X and its free. Here is the link:
Hope this helps.
yea i had that but the only inputs i can select are mic, line in, and digital in
Digital in is the one you want.
Arg you beat me to it!!!! Off the plank with you maty!!!! *Stabba*
cool thanks you guys
Hope it works for you, I don't see why it shouldn't. I have used Audacity before, the UI is a bit clunky the last time I used it, however functionally it did exactly what I wanted to do.
hm for some reason i tried recording but when i played it back just silence
I can look on my machine when I get home, I know you can do it with Audacity but I just can't remember off the top of my head.
cool thanks, id appreciate it
Use SoundFlower to route the audio from iTunes to your recorder app (like Audacity).
Get it here: http://www.cycling74.com/products/soundflower
Let me know if that works!!!
