I really love the Freeform app but I have one major problem with it.

Just as, in my opinion, calendar and reminders are separate apps but SHOULD be combined into one app, Freeform should just be a part of the notes app. I’m tired of having two or three apps to scroll through that accomplish similar function.

I wish they would merge it in with notes. That’s all.

/vent 😀

I can see that perspective, but they seem like very different apps to me. Probably because 99.9% of my Notes content (which I use very heavily) is typed text.

Would be neat if they let you embed a Freeform doc into a Note, at least.

I asked on another thread as to whether Freeform is based on the Notes app and some people sharply reacted as if I spoke ill of their ancestors. It was just a question, not even a criticism. But OP's comment is in line with this. It looks like the same design. The features are compatible. I don't mind it being a different app though.

I'm trying to figure out what I'll use it for long term, any suggestions?
I think it has a significant amount of business use-cases. The problem is I've never worked anywhere uses something other than Microsoft Teams-based or Slack-based integrations. Can't see it taking much hold without that

I miss times when you could create a calendar item with a reminder by dropping reminder item into it on Mac.

I don’t see a reason to not add a possibility to show reminder in calendar app

My previous company and my current one both use Mural extensively to facilitate design thinking sessions. Problem is Freeform is Apple only AFAIK, so that will definitely limit the business applicability.

Apple creates an app meant for collaborative work, but, following tradition, makes it proprietary and not accessible to those not in the Apple environment.
And those on Macs, but not able to be on Ventura.
The boffins at Cupertino, huh?

The fact that Apple makes a cool app and doesn’t even bother to support iPadOS 15 is absurd (my iPad Air 5 will hopefully remain on iPadOS 15 forever), but I’ve learned to tolerate those things, and I already expect them.
