Freeze ups, blank console kernel[0]: messages.

Hello-

Lately my 1st gen. MacBook Air has been having little freeze ups, where it just stops responding for a few seconds, then catches up with itself.

I checked the console logs, and the massage that pops up is-

Anyone have a clue what that could mean? I've done the 'permissions, SMC, PRAM' checks, and they made no difference.

Have you tried repairing your hard disk in Disk Utility?

I've done the Verify option, and failed. Going to borrow an external DVD drive to try the repair next. Hope the hard drive isn't dying, I'm in the middle of something and can't be without a computer for a week.

This is most likely the reason why you are having these kernel issues. Repair the disk and see if that helps.

Bummer, tried Disk Repair, it claimed to have fixed the errors, but the same problem is still happening.

I guess I'll try a reinstall from Time Machine, see if that helps. If not, off to the Genius Bar I go.

Best to do a complete clean install and see if that fixes the issue.

Trying so hard to avoid doing that. Beginning to seem inevitable, though.
