Freezing on the web

My 2012 cMBP with 4gb RAM, 5400 rpm HD is beach balling a decent amount on the internet. Using firefox. I wouldn't think it's the lack of RAM since Firefox, thunderbird, and preview are the only things I have open.

Does the issue occur with Safari, or chrome?

If not, then I'd say its most likely Firefox.

I stopped using Safari because it acts weird on some websites. I guess I'll go back and use Safari.

I just wanted to make sure my activity monitor didn't hint at not enough RAM.

If you Google, you will see numerous instances of Firefox freezing on MBP. Yours may very well be another instance.
