Freezing, restarting, etc.

Of late my iPhone 3GS was been cutting out in the middle of phone calls or whenever and either just going dead and needing a restart or flashing up with the apple logo as it's in the midst of a restart already. Is this common? Are the any recommended means to prevent this? Is my phone stuffed? Thanks all!

Did you update to iOS4? I found when I updated to the new firmware I had problems as well. You might want to reinstall iOS4 and see if that helps.

So it looks like it wasn't just me. I've been using Apples since the IIe and I'm starting to get sick of this type of stuff, especially with peripherals.
