I've had this MBA'18 since launch. 1.6/16/512 configuration. Everything was working fine until this past Tuesday morning (01-29-19).

I've got this weird thing going on, where my mac will actually freeze (keyboard stops working, display doesn't refresh, etc) every so often when I open APPS.

At first, i thought it was Microsoft Office, so I uninstalled/reinstalled office. That didn't work. I then proceeded to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of 10.14.3. Reset SMC, etc. No avail

Now, i can consistently reproduce it with a few tabs in safari, Apple notes, and messages - all stock apps.

Behavior: Load up a few tabs in safari, open notes, and then try to open messages. Keyboard stops working, the clock seconds stop ticking, screen doesn't refresh. The trackpad, however, continues to function. The console log stops logging for the 5-6 seconds it freezes up, but then refreshes with entries during the time it was frozen.

Anyone have any ideas? I've got a genius appointment tomorrow, but thought someone might have some thoughts as to what it might be. My only guess is maybe a bad memory chip?
