frequent pop up dialog boxes !

have a new desktop IMAC with macOS Sierra version 10.12. Having issue with annoying popup dialog boxes on all my pages..clicking them nearby removes them but moments later another one appears...WHY??? and how do i disable them??

If you are using Safari, then check the Safari Preferences...>Security>Web Content: section has the "Block pop-up windows" box is checked.

Often times adware will cause this. In addition to what CoastalOR suggested, try running the anti-malware app MalwareBytes.

Solved it! removed the right click on my magic mouse and voila...no more pop ups---at least for now--hoping it lasts!

That's no "solution".

The "right click" -- and the dialogs you get therefrom -- are very useful tools.
By disabling the right click, you are limiting yourself.

As I told a friend (not once, but several times, sigh):
"Learn the power of the right-click!"
